The Original Tams
Hear it, breathe it, feel it, see it.... experience it!

To hear it, you might think you've just stepped into Motown. To breathe it, you smell a tropical breeze caressing a sandy beach. To feel it, you let the rhythm grasp you and whirl you into motion. To see it is like an extravaganza of light and energy. But to experience it, you've gotta say it... "I want THE TAMS!"

The Original Tams is one of America's all-time favorite recording acts. Known worldwide for its special blend of music that makes up the beach music sound, The Tams entertains crowds around the globe nearly 300 days each year! Probably best known for its 1968 gold hit "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy," The Tams is celebrating recent success with a new single, "Ain't Nothing Like."

From its ghetto beginnings in Atlanta, the success of The Tams is truly a rags-to-riches story. The group began performing in taverns and nightclubs for next-to-nothing wages. In 1962, the group cut a single which gained much regional success, and the band then landed a major recording contract with ABC Records. The band's first album produced a number-one record, "What Kind of Fool," which propelled The Tams into professional status and national popularity. The band found itself playing to sold-out auditoriums, including New York's Apollo Theater. A string of hits followed, including "You Lied to Your Daddy," "Hey Girl," "I've Been Hurt," "It's Better to Have Loved a Little," and more.

After years of performances, ten albums and two gold records, The Tams still entertains audiences everywhere. Its unique music spans all ages, styles and regions; The Tams is a classic act with an exhilarating stage show.

They are the beach; they are good times; they are rock and roll at its finest. They are The Tams!
