The Impressions
The perfect band for your "Baby Boom" audience

The Impressions launched its career in 1958 with its landmark record "For Your Precious Love." It hit the charts again with "Gypsy Woman" in 1961. For Fred Cash, Sam Gooden and Curtis Mayfield, their string of 60s chart successes, including "It's Alright," "Amen," "Keep on Pushing" and "People Get Ready" rivaled that of the Motown hit factory.

The Impressions generated 16 Top 20 R&B hits and 17 Top 40 pop hits over a decade, and was second only to Ray Charles in album sales for ABC.

The Impressions was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 along with The Byrds, John Lee Hooker, Wilson Pickett, and Ike and Tina Turner.

With only two member changes since 1961, today The Impressions consists of Fred, Sam, Ralph Johnson and Smokey Hampton. The band continues to tour and perform its hits across the United States, Canada and abroad. With today's interest in "retro" music, The Impressions has been discovered by a new audience and the band continues to delight both old and new fans. Having been a major force in the 60s and 70s and appealing to the "Baby Boom" generation and the new generation, The Impressions is the perfect band to choose for any event or venue.
